Privacy Policy
IAMOTION is a social platform for finding, planning and sharing the things you love to do. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
IAMOTION is operated by LTV LLC (“LTV LLC”, “we”, “us”, “our”). If you use IAMOTION, this policy applies to you.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details. The name or username you choose, an email address, and a password. If you sign in through another service, we receive the basic profile details that service shares with us.
- Profile information. Anything you add to your profile — a photo, a short bio, your city, links.
- Your interests. The interests you follow, mark as things you love, or flag as things you want to try. These sit at the centre of how IAMOTION works, so we treat them as ordinary profile data used to build your feed.
- Content you post. Posts, comments, photos, videos, blog-style write-ups, event listings you create, and the metadata that comes with them, such as captions and the time of posting.
- Events and plans. Events you create, attend or save, and who you invite.
- Messages. Communications you send through IAMOTION, including direct messages and comments.
- Support and correspondence. What you tell us when you contact support, report content, or answer a survey.
Information we collect automatically
- Device and connection data. Device type, operating system, browser, language, app version, and IP address.
- Usage data. Pages and posts you view, searches you run, interests you tap, features you use, and how long you spend on them.
- Approximate location. Derived from your IP address so we can show events and communities near you.
- Precise location. Only if you switch it on in your device settings. You can turn it off at any time, and IAMOTION keeps working without it — locations simply become less specific.
- Media metadata. Photos and videos can carry embedded data such as capture time and GPS coordinates. We strip location data from media before it is shown publicly; see what is public.
- Log and diagnostic data. Crash reports, performance traces and error logs.
Information from others
- Other users, when they invite you, tag you, add you to an event, or include you in a shared album.
- Services you choose to connect, such as a sign-in provider or a calendar.
- Service providers who help us with hosting, analytics, moderation, payment processing and abuse prevention.
We do not ask you for government identifiers, and we do not seek to collect sensitive categories of personal data such as health, religious belief or political opinion. Bear in mind that an interest you follow, or something you post, may itself reveal something sensitive about you — that is your choice to make, and your audience settings control who sees it.
2. How we use information
- To run the service. Create and secure your account, host your content, deliver your feed, and let you message others.
- To match you with interests, events and people. The interests you choose, your approximate location, and what you engage with shape what IAMOTION shows you.
- To keep IAMOTION safe. Detect spam, fraud, scraping, harassment and other abuse; enforce our Terms & Conditions; review reports.
- To communicate with you. Service notices, security alerts, replies to support requests, and — if you have opted in — updates about features and events.
- To improve the product. Understand which features get used, diagnose faults, and test changes.
- To meet legal obligations and to respond to valid legal process.
We do not use the content of your direct messages to target advertising. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
3. Our legal bases
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following bases under the GDPR:
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Providing the service you signed up for | Performance of a contract |
| Safety, moderation, abuse and fraud prevention | Legitimate interests |
| Product improvement and analytics | Legitimate interests, or consent where required |
| Precise location, and optional marketing email | Consent — withdrawable at any time |
| Responding to legal process, keeping required records | Legal obligation |
5. What is public on IAMOTION
IAMOTION is a social product, so some things are visible by design. Before you post, it is worth knowing which is which.
| Generally visible | Not visible to other users |
|---|---|
| Your username, profile photo and bio; the interests and communities you make public; public posts, comments and media; events you host | Your email address and password; your direct messages; your precise location; device and log data; interests and lists you keep private |
We remove embedded GPS coordinates from photos and videos before they are displayed publicly. That does not remove location information you have chosen to include yourself — a place name in a caption, a tagged venue, or a recognisable background stays exactly as you posted it.
Anything public can be seen, screenshotted or re-shared by others, and may be indexed by search engines. Deleting a post removes it from IAMOTION, but we cannot claw back copies other people have already made.
7. Your choices
- Audience settings. Choose who can see your posts, interests and profile details.
- Location. Turn precise location on or off in your device settings at any time.
- Notifications. Manage push and email notifications in your settings. Marketing email carries an unsubscribe link; we will still send essential service and security messages.
- Access and download. Request a copy of your information.
- Correction. Edit your profile, or ask us to correct information you cannot change yourself.
- Deletion. Delete individual posts, or close your account entirely.
8. Your rights by region
European Economic Area and United Kingdom
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can ask us to explain the balancing test we applied.
California
Under the CCPA as amended, you may request to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the categories of sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose to; request deletion; request correction; and limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. You may use an authorised agent to make a request.
Nevada
Nevada residents may direct us not to sell certain personal information. We do not sell it, but you are welcome to submit a request and we will confirm that in writing.
Making a request
Write to us using the details in How to contact us. We will verify your request against your account, respond within the period the applicable law allows, and tell you if we need longer.
9. How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as your account is open and for as long as we need it for the purposes described here.
- Content you delete is removed from the service and purged from active systems, then from routine backups on our normal backup cycle.
- When you close your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we need to keep it to resolve disputes, enforce our terms, meet a legal obligation, or preserve a record of safety enforcement so a banned account cannot simply return.
- Aggregated and de-identified data may be kept indefinitely.
10. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, logging, and internal review to protect your information, and we limit staff access to what a role requires. No service can promise perfect security. Use a strong, unique password, and tell us promptly if you think your account has been compromised.
11. International transfers
LTV LLC is based in the United States, and our providers may process information in other countries. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on an appropriate transfer mechanism — such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, with the UK addendum where relevant — together with additional safeguards where needed.
12. Children
IAMOTION is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Where local law sets a higher age for consent to online services — 16 in parts of the EEA — that age applies instead. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Other services you connect
IAMOTION links to other sites and lets you connect third-party services. Once you leave IAMOTION or authorise another service, that provider's own privacy policy governs what it does with your information. We do not control those practices.
14. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as the product changes. When a change is material, we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. The effective date at the top always shows the current version.
